CocoMonoethanolamide (CMEA)

CocoMonoethanolamide (CMEA) is a non-ionic surfactant derived from coconut fatty acids and ethanolamine. It is widely used as a foam booster and viscosity stabilizer in personal care and household cleaning products. CMEA appears as waxy flakes or powder and provides excellent thickening and emulsifying properties, enhancing the performance of formulations like shampoos, body washes, and liquid soaps.

Applications:

• Personal Care Products: Commonly used in shampoos, body washes, facial cleansers, and conditioners to enhance foam quality, improve viscosity, and stabilize formulations.
• Soaps & Cleansers: Helps to create a creamy, stable foam and improves the overall texture and feel of liquid soaps, bar soaps, and hand washes.
• Detergents & Household Cleaning: Added to household cleaning products to improve foam and thicken the consistency of liquid detergents and surface cleaners.

Handling and Storage:

• Handling: Use protective equipment like gloves and goggles when handling large quantities. Avoid inhalation of dust and direct contact with skin and eyes. Ensure good ventilation in the work area.
• Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use. Avoid exposure to humidity, as it may affect the quality of the product. Recommended storage temperature is below 30°C (86°F).
